But first, the dude behind AretéUnboxed.

To be clear...I do NOT exemplify Areté. None-the-less, like most of you who somehow or miraculously landed here, I value the pursuit of Areté, even while knowing I will never see the word in the same sentence or paragraph or story or, eventually, obituary about me.

I am, proudly, just an Average Joe. As a younger person, I didn't aspire to become an Average Joe, but once I understood the value to my life of being average on the various bell curves of life, I suddenly felt right at home with this description. The point of average on the bell curve is at the very top. So, I'm in the majority of people most of the time, giving me the ability to understand most of us. And, being at the peak, or Apex, of the curve, I can see, understand, and hopefully empathize, with those at either end of the bell curve. I consider this my secret sauce...being able to relate to all kinds of people.

So there it is. I'm an Average Joe who enjoys learning from and admiring the qualities of all people where ever they find themselves on the bell curves of life. And along the way, I love uncovering those who shatter boxes. Hence...AretéUnboxed! ;-)
